Learning Curve Group
Education Provider of the Year

LCG has grown both organically and through acquisition since 2004 to become one of the UK’s biggest and most diverse training providers in the UK, generating record annual results.

LCG’s breadth of provision positions it as a market-leader in the education industry, delivering impactful training, education and skills programmes to over 200,000 learners every year. They work with partners to help them meet their core organisational objectives through LCG’s exceptional offering.

From short-term vocational qualifications to longer-term apprenticeships, including the best way to utilise the Apprenticeship Levy, it helps over 4,500 employers every year with its workplace training plans. With many different models, from short to long term, and access to tens of millions of pounds of adult skills funding, its offer is attractive to a range of learners. The provider delivers over 45 apprenticeship programmes, with an internal apprenticeship academy too, and has over 60 skills-based academies across England and Wales. In the past two years, LCG has acquired 44 academies through the acquisitions of prominent training providers, complementing the growth of its hair and beauty, military and apprenticeship provision. It aims to tackle the skills gaps that employers are facing by developing programmes that align with these and by opening one new facility per year.

In 2020, LCG reached its mission of transforming over one million lives through learning – but has made it clear it’s not stopping there. As a training provider, it believes that high-quality training and education should be accessible to all and is therefore continuously developing its provision to be as inclusive as possible so it can reach every possible prospective learner, including those within hard-to-reach communities, working with over 300 community venues across England to achieve this.

LCG is the market leader in online learning, enrolling over 60,000 individuals to undertake online qualifications in 2022. To ensure its learners and partners receive the best possible learning experience, it recently invested over £1 million to overhaul its LMS as well as its learning content and processes. Continuing to develop its suite of ed tech solutions and online facilities, LCG consistently ensures its learners have the best possible experience when studying with them.

The provider has recently ventured into the AI market, acquiring a platform which will support education and training providers in the UK to excel in the CEIAG element of Ofsted inspections, alongside supporting learners to achieve by calculating every step they need to complete to get there. Facilitating digital education and development, LCG leverages the power of technology to create a rounded learning experience for its learners which will complement its ambitious growth plans.

The business has grown by understanding the fast-changing education landscape and by listening to those who matter in their work: employers, employees, school-leavers, the unemployed, and people seeking their next career step.
